Vito Chiu

Finding direction within internal conflict.

I am currently practicing within a public hospital mental health center in Taipei, with experience in addiction-related settings and Employee Assistance Program (EAP) consultation.

Through clinical work, I have come to understand that many psychological struggles are not isolated incidents, but patterns formed over time — shaped by internal tensions, roles, and unexamined narratives.

My interest lies not only in symptoms, but in the meaning beneath them — recurring emotional patterns, behavioral cycles, and the tension between different aspects of the self.

In consultation, I adopt a structured and steady approach, allowing complexity to be examined rather than simplified. Psychological work, to me, involves holding internal contradictions long enough for integration to emerge.
